Johanes Bagus Dharmawan joined AKHH in 2001 and currently serves as the resident partner of AKHH’s Batam office. As such, he provides critical advice and representation to the firm’s clients with interests in this industrial region.
Bagus has many years of experience as both an advisor on corporate transactions and an advocate in various dispute resolution proceedings. He regularly advises on a broad range of corporate governance, finance, and compliance matters, including the incorporation of enterprises, corporate finance transactions, investment, and the acquisition and disposal of assets and companies. He also has substantial experience as a litigator in the Indonesian court system. He is particularly well versed in matters of labor and employment law and bankruptcy and restructuring, where he both represents debtors and creditors from initial negotiations to liquidation and acts as an appointed liquidator.
Bagus obtained his Doctorate in Law (cum laude) from Padjadjaran University in 2026. In addition, he regularly provides legal training for lawyers in the area through a program organized by the University of Batam.
